Collecting Names

Posted in reading, writing at 10:50 am by elizabethcaulfieldfelt

I’m collecting names.  I have two perfect names so far, and I’d love to get more.  The two I have are both baseball players:

Felipe Lopez

Aramis Ramirez

Aren’t they great?  The assonance and alliteration and overall rhythm of each is spectacular.  If you know of any other great names, post them here!

One of my daughters has a friend named Alana Kualapai (pronounced Koala-pie). Prettiest name I’ve ever heard.

Toxin Shinawat is my phonetic spelling of the former Prime Minister of Thailand, (actually spelled in English Thaksin Shinawatra). Thailand may be a mess politically, but their names–especially this one–are so melodic; I love the way it rolls off the tongue.
